Answering Common Questions on Dentistry
Here are the answers to the top questions that we hear from our
patients and website visitors. If you have further questions, please
do not hesitate to contact us!
How does Dr. Curington keep up-to-date
on the current techniques and materials?
Dr. Curington devotes significant
amounts of time to continuing education studies and also ensures that
our team pursues ongoing studies as
well. In this way, we all remain familiar with the latest techniques
and materials.
Do you accept referrals?
We’re happy to accept referrals
from other dental offices as well as recommendations by our
patients to their families and friends.
We request that a patient evaluation form be completed before the first visit and that all records and x-rays be forwarded to our
office.
Do you accept my insurance
plan or offer payment options?
Our
goal is to assist you in maximizing your insurance benefits.
We are happy to fill out and file your forms for you, and E-claim them
in order to expedite your reimbursements. Since payment is due
at the time services are rendered, we accept
all major credit cards, cash or check.
Will
I be charged if I need to cancel an appointment?
If you must
make a cancellation, please do so at least 48 working hours before the
appointment. Otherwise, you will be charged a cancellation
fee. We are aware that most cancellations are
made because of anxiety, and we want to assure you that we make every
effort to make your visit with us relaxing and comfortable.
What
do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?
We
have taken steps to ensure that you never feel abandoned. We
want to be there for you. Therefore, we always give our patients Dr. Curington’s
cellular phone number; or you may call the office at
770-932-1115 and leave a message.
What makes you
different than any other dental practice I can visit?
We provide artistic dentistry in a beautiful relaxing setting. We strive to eliminate
patient anxiety and save time by performing several procedures
in one single visit.
I want my front teeth to look better, but
I do not want to wear
braces. What would you recommend?
For slightly crooked or unevenly
worn teeth, a bit of reshaping, bleaching and the addition of porcelain
veneers may be sufficient to give them
a bright, uniform look. In other cases, it may be necessary to
use “invisible” braces or Invisalign. We’d be happy to consult
with you about a treatment plan that will accomplish your objectives.
What is “smile analysis” and “smile design”?
In smile analysis, we look at all of the factors that impact final
results: the shape, size, and position of your teeth; your smile
line; the shape of your face; and your overall facial expression.
We use our diagnostic findings, and take into account your desires and physical limitations to
make sure that we’re all in agreement as to the objectives, approach
and outcome. After this analysis process, we’re prepared to
perform smile design… relying on Dr. Curington’s
experience to establish the form, position, color and shape of your teeth.
Our goal is to bring about an attractive, natural looking balance to your
teeth,
lips, gum line and facial structure.
